Chelsea close to signing striker Liam Delap

Chelsea have secured their spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League and are now focused on strengthening their attacking line. It appears the Londoners have already identified their man.

Details: According to talkSPORT, Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap is on the verge of joining Chelsea. The player has already agreed to the move and is eager to continue his career in London. The Blues’ management is confident the deal will be finalized and are ready to pay the Tractor Boys a release fee of £30 million.

Incidentally, Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca was recently asked what the club plans to do with Jadon Sancho and whether a decision has been made about his future.

Reminder: The London club is also showing interest in Brighton forward João Pedro. However, the player himself is in no rush to open talks with Chelsea.

The Chelsea manager openly addressed all doubters who claimed this team lacked experience or found other "arguments" for why the Blues wouldn’t make it to the Champions League.
