Chelsea's owner, Todd Boehly, remains resolute in his intent to bring Napoli's forward, Victor Osimhen, during the upcoming January transfer window to bolster Chelsea's attack. Despite uncertainties surrounding Financial Fair Play restrictions, Chelsea is prepared to break the Nigerian's transfer record to emphasize their desire to acquire him, as reported by Football Transfers.

Osimhen also draws interest from another London club, Arsenal. However, it's unlikely that the "Gunners" will match the astronomical demands of the reigning Italian champions. In fact, Napoli's president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, optimistically envisions Osimhen's future at Napoli and remains confident that the player will sign a new contract.

Given Osimhen's contract expiring in 2025, Napoli is keen to extend his stay on paper. If a new contract isn't inked by summer, the club might be compelled to sell him at a reduced price to avoid losing him on a free transfer in 2025.

Chelsea is closely monitoring the Nigerian's situation and is even considering the possibility of selling Armando Broja to fund the £100 million price tag for Osimhen. The forward, who scored 26 goals in the league, contributed to Napoli clinching their first Scudetto in 33 years last season. He also made history as the first African player to win Serie A's "Golden Boot."

Victor Osimhen moved to Napoli in 2020 from Lille for €75 million. He has played 142 matches for the "Azzurri," scoring 65 goals.
