Chelsea are desperate to get rid of Sterling. His services have been offered to a top Premier League
Chelsea have clearly decided to get rid of winger Raheem Sterling and are trying to get him to any club in order to make it to the end of the transfer window.
There are reports of a potential swap for Manchester United colleague Jadon Sancho, who has previously agreed a move to the Blues, but The Times claims that Chelsea have contacted Arsenal to inform the Gunners that Sterling is available for purchase.
Just the sort of attacking player Mikel Arteta is looking for. The Emirates were hoping to sign Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams, but the deal fell through and Arsenal are now looking at other candidates.
But in order to sell Sterling, Chelsea still need to settle his wages, which has put off buyers. Arsenal and Manchester United are not ready to pay the sum of £325,000 a week, so the ‘pensioners’ are likely to have to pay the winger a severance package.
