Prospects are looking bright for 18-year-old striker Marc Guiu, who is expected to leave Barcelona this summer.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are poised to activate Guiu's release clause, which is set at a modest 6 million euros. The London club has already reached an agreement with the player.
Initially, it was anticipated that Chelsea would immediately loan Guiu to Strasbourg, another club owned by Todd Boehly. However, Chelsea have promised the Spaniard a spot in the first team and regular playing time in the Premier League. This assurance was a key factor in Guiu's negotiations with the Blues.
Previously, it was reported that Bayern Munich and Sevilla also expressed interest in Guiu.
Guiu made his debut for Barcelona's senior team last season, scoring the winning goal in his first match against Athletic Bilbao. He also found the net in a Champions League match against Antwerp.
