London giants Chelsea and Tottenham have entered direct competition for the signature of Bayern Munich's 29-year-old centre-back Kim Min-jae in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Details: According to Topskills Sports UK, Bayern's South Korean defender Kim Min-jae is being considered a key defensive reinforcement by both Premier League clubs.

For Chelsea, the search for an experienced centre-back has reportedly become a top priority. The London club's management believes Kim Min-jae possesses the necessary experience and composure to become the new backbone of the Stamford Bridge defense and help guide the club's emerging talents.

Tottenham also see the Korean international as the perfect addition to their squad. The Spurs have been monitoring the defender's progress for some time and are ready to offer him a pivotal role in their project, especially amid uncertainty over the future of several current defenders.

Bayern Munich, meanwhile, have signaled their willingness to consider serious offers for the player, despite his contract running until 2028. With Chelsea, Tottenham, and several other European clubs showing interest, the Bavarians are bracing for a competitive bidding process.

This season, Kim Min-jae has made 23 appearances for the Munich club across all competitions, scoring one goal and providing one assist. Transfermarkt currently values him at €25 million.

Reminder: Chelsea and Manchester City are locked in a battle for Genk midfielder Konstantinos Karetsas.
