Chelle Unsure of Future with Eagles Future After AFCON Exit

Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has admitted uncertainty over his future after Nigeria’s semi-final defeat Morocco. Nigeria were eliminated after a goalless 120 minutes ended in a 4-2 loss on penalties.

After the match, Chelle said, “Now, I don't know my future… Maybe in two days, my president will tell me it is finished, or maybe that I have to continue.”

Despite, he praised his players, saying Nigeria were “maybe the best team in this AFCON,” and urged them to respond against Egypt. He added, “The AFCON is not finished… we have to focus on the last game and we have to win this game."
