Cheikhou Kouyaté breaks his silence after terminating his contract with Amedspor
The Senegalese midfielder revealed the reasons for his departure from the Turkish club.
When his amicable departure from Amedspor was announced a few days ago, no reason was given. But Cheikhou Kouyaté has finally broken his silence to express his disappointment, particularly at his lack of playing time since his arrival, with only eight matches played and one start.
‘There are things I don't accept. Maybe others can adapt to certain situations, but for me, if there is no respect, it's better to part ways. It's very difficult when you leave a big league to come to Turkey. There's a big difference,’ explained Cheikhou Kouyaté.
The 2021 African champion has not ruled out a return to Senegal to play in the local league. ‘Yeggo was my club, but it is not currently in the Pro League. We are going to consider the possibility of playing three to six months in that league.’
