Charlotte FC confirm Abdoulaye Doucouré signing
The Malian midfielder has signed until the end of the 2026 MLS season.
A free agent since leaving NEOM SC in Saudi Arabia, Abdoulaye Doucouré will continue his career in the United States. The Malian international has officially signed for Charlotte FC. The MLS club confirmed the player’s signing on Saturday 10 October.
Abdoulaye Doucouré has signed a one-season contract with Charlotte FC. The 33-year-old midfielder joins his new team with a wealth of European experience. Doucouré has spent the majority of his career in the Premier League. He played for Watford from the 2016–17 season to the 2019–20 season. During his time there, he made 141 appearances, scored 17 goals and provided 12 assists.
He represented Everton from the 2020–21 season to the 2024–25 season. With the Mersey club, he made 166 appearances, scoring 21 goals and providing 14 assists.
Abdoulaye Doucouré has also played for Rennes, Granada and, most recently, NEOM SC.
