Chaos at Shooting Stars as Fans Demand Salisu Yusuf’s Sack After Kano Pillars Draw
Shooting Stars supporters have called for the dismissal of head coach Salisu Yusuf following the club’s goalless draw against Kano Pillars in their rescheduled Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) fixture.
The frustration boiled over after the final whistle, with some aggrieved fans reportedly stopping the club chairman’s vehicle to express their dissatisfaction with the team’s performances.
The supporters made their feelings clear, calling for Yusuf to be removed from his position after a difficult start to the season. Frustrated supporters chanted “Salisu must go” after the stalemate with Kano Pillars.
Yusuf was appointed as Shooting Stars head coach at the beginning of the campaign, but the Ibadan-based side have struggled to produce consistent results under his leadership.
Following the draw against Kano Pillars, Shooting Stars have recorded just two wins from their opening seven NPFL matches, a run that has increased pressure on the coach.
