Book is now officially part of Dortmund.

Details: Earlier today, Borussia Dortmund’s official page on social network X announced that 40-year-old German specialist Ole Book has officially taken over as the club’s new sporting director.

It’s reported that Book has signed a contract with the "Black and Yellows" until 2029, with the club buying out his contract from 2. Bundesliga side FC Elversberg.

Ole Book replaces Sebastian Kehl, who was dismissed yesterday.

This marks an entirely new challenge for Book at such a high level, as he previously only worked at Elversberg, spending nine years there, rising from scout to club CEO.

At the moment, Borussia Dortmund sit second in the Bundesliga with 61 points after 27 rounds, trailing league leaders Bayern Munich by 9 points.
