Chancel Mbemba could be set for a return to Belgium
His contract at Lille is coming to an end
The Congolese international has caught the eye of RSC Anderlecht.
Chancel Mbemba could be heading back to the club where he made his European debut. With the Congolese defender’s contract at Lille set to expire on 30 June, his former club is keen to sign him.
RSC Anderlecht would like to bring the Congolese player back this summer following his spell there from 2011 to 2014. Talks are reportedly underway between the Belgian club and the Congolese international. Chancel Mbemba could therefore return to Belgium as a free agent if negotiations are successful. However, the Congolese defender has reportedly not yet made any decision regarding his future. He is expected to make up his mind after this summer’s World Cup.
