The time has come for the Champions League quarterfinal battles, with the first matches traditionally scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday. Here is my analysis and betting recommendations.

Arsenal vs Real Madrid. Can the Gunners overcome the Champions League's main titan? 04/08/2025

An intriguing matchup where unexpected results can be anticipated. The Gunners are playing at home and are capable of delivering the "match of their lives" against the record-holder for most European trophies and the reigning Champions League winner.

Thanks to their high level of organization and home strategies, Arsenal is quite capable of success. Even bookmakers consider the Londoners slight favorites in the first game. Real boasts attacking power, but recently their defense has been seriously problematic. Madrid's first and second goalkeepers are injured, which, along with their weak defensive play, looks very dangerous. While "Los Blancos" are fighting for three trophies, the Champions League is crucial for Arsenal, as it's the only trophy the club can claim.

Many know how dangerous the Londoners are during corners, often leading to goals. Real concedes more than anyone in Spain from corners, so any delivery from the corner flag is potentially a dangerous moment for Madrid, especially with the third-choice goalkeeper in net. I think Arteta has every chance to find the recipe for victory in the first match.

Betting tip – Arsenal to win at 2.4.

Bayern vs Inter. Battle of the experienced top clubs! 04/08/2025

These opponents have a considerable history of head-to-head encounters, with experienced fans surely recalling the 2010 Champions League final when Inter managed to win that decisive match under Jose Mourinho, with Milito scoring a brace.

On paper, Bayern is considered a slight favorite, which is explained solely by their home advantage, as the teams are of roughly the same level. Much will depend on the game plan and its execution. Individually, Bayern's players seem stronger, but when comparing coaches, Simone Inzaghi is clearly more experienced than Kompany, having led these guys to the Champions League final, where they lost in a worthy battle against Man City. We want a spectacle, but there's a high likelihood of pragmatic football with few dangerous moments.

In such matches, every detail matters, so the home advantage will be a benefit for the German giant, but maximizing it won't be easy.

Betting tip - total under 2.5 goals at 1.91.

Barcelona vs Borussia Dortmund. Should we expect a masterclass from the Catalans? 04/09/2025

Although the lineup looks attractive, I don't expect much intrigue in this pair. The clubs are well-known, but they've only played each other six times, with Borussia yet to win. The last time the teams met in this Champions League was during the group stage, where in a thrilling battle, Barca claimed an away victory with a score of 3-2. Since then, the Catalans have stabilized their play and results, which cannot be said for the Dortmund club. The Champions League is becoming almost the only option for Borussia to save their season.

It's no surprise that the Catalans are considered favorites in the upcoming match, as they are currently in form and playing at home. The "Bees" can put up a fight, but the likelihood of faltering is also high. I think Barcelona will have the upper hand in the home match and can secure a good position for the return leg.

Betting tip – Barcelona to win with a -1.5 goal handicap at 2.01.

PSG vs Aston Villa. Who will take the first step towards the semifinals? 04/09/2025

This pair looks quite unexpected, considering that one of them will definitely play in the semifinals, although, in terms of play, the teams deservedly reached this stage. These opponents have never met before, although they've played plenty in European competitions. It will be interesting to see how Aston Villa's manager Emery plays against his former club.

Perhaps, Paris's stars shine brighter, and they have few concerns left, with the club only needing to play the French Cup final against Reims domestically, while in Ligue 1, Luis Enrique's side has secured the championship. The Birmingham side has to play on two fronts, as the fight for the top four in the EPL continues, which clearly takes more effort. Parisians are considered clear favorites in the home game, although Aston Villa is a team that knows how to achieve the desired result. It will be interesting to watch the tactical battle between Luis Enrique and Emery. I think the game will be an interesting contest, with chances for both sides.

Betting tip – both teams to score – yes, at 1.74.
