On April 15-16, the names of all the semifinalists of this season's Champions League will be revealed as the second legs of the quarterfinals are played. Will there be any surprises, or was everything decided in the first encounters?

Aston Villa vs PSG. The Birmingham side won't give up. 04/15/2025

The favorite in this pair was obvious before the first match, although everyone understood that Aston Villa had a chance for an overall victory. Before the return leg, PSG has a comfortable two-goal lead, so being knocked out under such circumstances would be considered a major fiasco. In the first match, the Birmingham side managed to open the scoring, but this did not unsettle the Parisians, who equalized four minutes later. PSG then controlled the game and deservedly clinched the victory in the second half.

Both teams are having a good season, although the Parisians look stronger on paper. In the upcoming battle, the visitors are considered slight favorites, but it's too early to write off Aston Villa, as Emery will have his squad ready for a serious battle. Regardless of the match outcome, I expect an exciting and spectacular football match from both sides.

Bet on the match – total over 2.5 goals at 1.61.

Borussia Dortmund vs Barcelona. Will the teams produce another high-scoring match? 04/15/2025

One of those matches that doesn't hold much significance, as no one believes Borussia will overturn a four-goal deficit. Barca is the favorite, though theoretically, they could lose by three goals. The "Bees" have nothing to lose and will attempt to showcase attacking football, which is very dangerous against the Catalans.

Dortmund will try to take revenge for the rout, not in terms of fighting for a semifinal spot, but by winning the match itself. The hosts will attempt to use high pressing, although Barca is capable of skillfully escaping it, which could lead to immediate dangerous attacks. The teams will face each other for the third time, and in the previous two encounters, no fewer than four goals were scored per game.

It's possible that the Catalans will try to conserve energy for this match, but I don't expect significant squad rotation from Flick, as Borussia is a serious and dangerous opponent capable of gaining momentum.

Bet on the match – total over 3.5 goals at 1.97.

Real Madrid vs Arsenal. Can the Madrid side pull off a miracle? 04/16/2025

There is a feeling that this is the match most eagerly anticipated by neutral football fans, when it comes to the Champions League return legs. The most titled club in Europe faces an incredibly difficult task of overturning a three-goal deficit. Real doesn't look like a club deserving to win the Champions League, although the Madrid side has claimed this trophy even when they didn't appear to be the best.

Arsenal delivered a fantastic first match, and Declan Rice's free-kick goals will be savored by the "Gunners" fans for a long time. The Londoners understand that even a three-goal lead doesn't guarantee a semifinal berth when facing such an opponent. Both clubs have not looked their best in recent league matches, with Real narrowly defeating Alaves 1-0 and Arsenal drawing 1-1 with Brentford. It will be interesting to see the visitors' strategy, as defending the result at the "Bernabeu" could be a fatal mistake. I think the teams will delight the audience with high-scoring football.

Bet on the match both teams to score - yes at 1.61.

Inter vs Bayern. The intrigue is still alive. 04/16/2025

This is one of those pairs where the intrigue still remains, even though Inter won away, Bayern didn't deserve that defeat. Just one goal can level the score in this clash. Even the bookmakers couldn't pick a favorite, so expect intrigue in this pair. The home field factor should help the hosts achieve the desired result. Inter will surely try to play solidly in defense.

The Bavarians can play as the leading side, and for the Milanese, it's not a problem to play on counterattacks, as they did in the first match. The German giant couldn't show its maximum in the first match, and Sommer repeatedly rescued the Italian giant. Bayern has many individually strong players, while the Milan club's main trump card is team play and cohesion. It's not out of the question that this match could even go into overtime, with both teams having their moments.

Bet on the match both teams to score - yes at 1.63.

If you combine all the mentioned bets into an accumulator, it will come out to just over 8, although it all depends on the bookmakers. We are looking forward to high-scoring matches where the teams will strive to show their best.
