“Champions League comes first.” Gareth Bale on his first impressions at Real Madrid

Gareth Bale joined Real Madrid for €100 million, becoming the most expensive transfer at the time. He has now shared his first impressions of the team.

Details: In an interview with The Overlap, Bale said that at Real Madrid, the UEFA Champions League is the ultimate priority. He added that in La Liga, they already know they will win about half of their matches, which is not the case in the Premier League.

Quote: “When I arrived at Real Madrid, one thing became clear: they prioritize the Champions League over La Liga. In La Liga, you already know you’ll win about half of your games. It’s not like the Premier League”, Bale said.

The Welshman also noted that the importance of the Champions League is felt everywhere: from the fans to the club president.

Reminder: Real Madrid recently found itself at the center of an internal controversy regarding the work of its medical department.
