Chalobah officially returns from loan as Chelsea seeks another defender

Chelsea has been dealing with issues in their central defense and has decided to recall one of their own players from loan.

Details: Chelsea has officially announced the return of Trevoh Chalobah from his loan at Crystal Palace. The defender made 14 appearances for the Eagles this season.

A product of Chelsea’s academy, Chalobah has played 80 matches for the Blues. He now immediately returns to Stamford Bridge and will join Enzo Maresca’s first team. Chalobah has chosen the number 23 shirt for his return.

However, the search isn’t over. According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea will continue pursuing another center-back despite Chalobah’s recall.

Reminder: Also nearing an exit from Chelsea is Christopher Nkunku, with the "Blues" reportedly asking for €65 million in return. This financial valuation is believed to have been influenced by the still-pending move of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to PSG.
