Celtic midfielder Engels has repeated the achievement of the legendary Henrik Larsson

Celtic had a very successful start in the UEFA Champions League 2024-25. The Scots defeated Slovan 5:1.

Belgian midfielder Arne Engels scored a goal+pass.

Interestingly, Engels is only the second Celtic player to score a goal and give an assist in a Champions League match after the legendary Henrik Larsson in September 2001 against Juventus.

In addition, Celtic scored 4+ goals in a Champions League match for only the second time in history and for the first time since 2001.

In the 2nd round of the Champions League, Celtic will play against Borussia Dortmund away. The match will take place on October 1.
