Midfielder Casemiro from Manchester United has returned to field training after his knee tendon injury, as reported by the well-known football insider Fabrizio Romano.

The Brazilian hadn't been on the field since November 1st, sustaining the injury during the English League Cup match against Newcastle (0:3).

Casemiro joined Manchester United in 2022 from Real Madrid for a transfer fee of 70 million euros, inclusive of bonuses. He has played a total of 63 matches for the Red Devils, netting 11 goals. In the current season, the midfielder has participated in 12 matches, scoring four goals.

Previously, there were reports of Casemiro potentially leaving Manchester, with the club not hindering his departure if a favorable offer emerged. His contract with the club extends until June 2026.

Manchester United currently holds the sixth position in the Premier League standings after 16 matches played, amassing a total of 27 points under manager Erik ten Hag.

In the upcoming championship round the Red Devils are set to face Liverpool on December 17th. Before that, ten Hag's team has a match against Bayern Munich in the Champions League on December 12th, where they will require nothing less than a victory.
