Carrascal Nears Flamengo Move: Colombian Midfielder Set for Club World Cup

Jorge Carrascal is on the verge of joining Flamengo. As reported by Antena 2, the Colombian midfielder has reached a preliminary agreement with the Brazilian club, aiming to finalize the deal before June 15 to register him for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
Currently at Dynamo Moscow, Carrascal is reportedly unsettled in Russia and open to returning to South America. Flamengo is prepared to pay approximately $10 million to activate his release clause, as the player is under contract until June 2027.
In the latest season, Carrascal featured in 35 matches for Dynamo, scoring eight goals and providing five assists. His addition would bolster Flamengo's midfield ahead of the challenging Group D in the Club World Cup, where they will face Chelsea, Los Angeles FC, and Espérance de Tunis.
While final negotiations with the Russian club are underway, Carrascal is currently training with the Colombian national team. If the transfer materializes, it would mark his third stint in South American football, following previous spells at Millonarios and River Plate.
