Carlos Baleba Reportedly Handed New Shirt No. at Manchester United Ahead of £70m Move

Manchester United have reportedly handed Carlos Baleba the No. 20 shirt as the Cameroon international closes in on completing his move from Brighton & Hove Albion.

According to an exclusive report from Sam C on X, Baleba will wear the No. 20 shirt at Old Trafford. The midfielder is already familiar with the number, having worn it during the early stages of his Brighton career.

Baleba took the No. 20 shirt after joining Brighton in 2023 and kept it through the 2024/25 season before switching to No. 17 last summer.

He is now set to return to No. 20 at Manchester United as he prepares to begin a new chapter in his career.

The 22-year-old has reportedly completed his medical with United, with the club now working to finalise the remaining paperwork before officially unveiling him.

The transfer is worth an initial £65 million, with a further £5 million available in add-ons, taking the potential value of the deal to £70 million.
