Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz has successfully qualified for the ATP Finals, set to take place soon in Turin.
Details: According to Sport.es, Alcaraz has become the third participant confirmed for the prestigious tournament featuring the top eight players. Alongside the Spaniard, Jannik Sinner and Alexander Zverev have also secured their spots. The tournament will run from November 10 to 17 in Turin, Italy.
This marks Alcaraz's third appearance at the finals. However, he was unable to compete in 2022 due to an injury. In 2023, he reached the semifinals, where he lost to the eventual champion, Novak Djokovic.
Currently, Alcaraz ranks third in the ATP rankings. On the night of Friday, September 27, he will compete in a tournament in Beijing against French player Mpechi Perrikar, starting at 4:00 CET.
Reminder: German tennis player Alexander Zverev, who currently holds the second spot in the ATP rankings, will miss the prestigious tournament in Beijing. The player has announced to the German press that he has been diagnosed with pneumonia.
