On Friday, November 15, Carlos Alcaraz faced Alexander Zverev in a crucial match at the ATP Finals.
Alcaraz needed a win to secure a spot in the semifinals. The first set was highly competitive, going to a tiebreak, where Zverev edged out the Spaniard 7-6 (7-5) to take a 1-0 lead.
The second set started in Zverev’s favor as he quickly built a 2-0 lead. From there, the German maintained control and closed out the set 6-4, winning the match 2-0.
With this loss, Alcaraz was eliminated from the ATP Finals, finishing the group stage with just one point from three matches.
