World No. 3 Carlos Alcaraz has made a strong start at the ATP 500 tournament in Beijing.
Details: In the round of 32, the young Spaniard defeated French tennis player Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard in straight sets.
Both sets followed a remarkably similar pattern. Alcaraz broke serve in the opening game of each set and carried that momentum to win 6-4 in both.
In the next round, Carlos Alcaraz will face Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor, currently ranked 39th in the world.
