Carlos Alcaraz defeated his opponent and advanced to the Wimbledon semifinals

In the second quarterfinal match of Wimbledon 2024, held on Tuesday, July 9th, Carlos Alcaraz faced American Tommy Paul.

Despite Alcaraz being considered the favorite, it was Paul who took the lead in the match. He won the first set 7-5 and led 1-0. However, Alcaraz then seized control of the game. He won the second set 6-4, leveling the match at 1-1.

The next two sets ended with identical scores of 6-2, both in favor of Carlos Alcaraz, who secured the victory in the match with a score of 3-1. He will now play in the Wimbledon semifinals against Daniil Medvedev.
