"Carlo, calm down": Tebas responds to Real Madrid’s referee criticism

Real Madrid has been vocal in its criticism of refereeing standards in La Liga in recent weeks. However, the club and its head coach, Carlo Ancelotti, did not have to wait long for a response.

Details: La Liga president Javier Tebas hit back at Real Madrid’s complaints, questioning why the club had no concerns when its representatives were part of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) leadership until November 2023.

However, it’s interesting that Real Madrid, which is now so concerned, was part of the RFEF Board of Directors until November 2023... and didn’t say a word. By then, several months had already passed since the Negreira case was made public.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid TV continued to entertain us with its ‘objective’ videos about referees. Why hasn’t there been a single proposal sent to RFEF or La Liga? No one believes the excuse about changing the ownership model and the supposed ‘expropriation’ of La Liga anymore. Is this just a new excuse? Because we’ve already seen this theory in some circles,” Tebas wrote on his X (Twitter) account.
