Real Madrid faced Liverpool in Matchday 5 of the UEFA Champions League, and the match became a historic one for the "Whites' manager."

Details: According to the "Royal Club," Carlo Ancelotti has become the record-holder for most matches coached in UEFA Champions League history. The Italian has now managed 215 games, surpassing Sir Alex Ferguson, who had 214 matches.

Ancelotti’s games are spread across eight teams: Parma (8), Juventus (10), Milan (77), Chelsea (18), PSG (10), Bayern Munich (12), Napoli (12), and Real Madrid (68).

Additionally, Ancelotti holds the record for the most victories in European competitions (123). He is also the only manager with five European trophies to his name.

Reminder: Borussia Dortmund winger Byno Gittens scored his fourth goal in this season’s UEFA Champions League. Only one English player under the age of 21 has scored more than one goal in a single campaign in this competition—Alan Smith, who netted five goals for Leeds United in the 2000-01 season

Meanwhile, Liverpool confidently defeated Real Madrid in the Champions League, further cementing their place in the tournament’s history.
