In the American city of San Diego, the WTA 500 tournament has concluded.

In the decisive match, 27-year-old Briton Katie Boulter defeated the young Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostyuk in three sets.

During the first set, Boulter conceded three games to Kostyuk on her serve and lost with a score of 5:7. However, in the following sets, the British player dominated the court entirely. Boulter made almost no errors and won both sets with a score of 6:2.

For the 27-year-old athlete, currently ranked 49th, this victory marks the pinnacle of her career. Previously, her most significant success was the victory at the WTA 250 tournament in Nottingham last year.

Throughout the San Diego tournament, Boulter eliminated Emma Navarro, Donna Vekic, Beatriz Haddad Maia, and Lesia Tsurenko.
