Cape Town City has been relegated to South Africa’s lower division after failing to win the relegation group play-off. Now, one of the club's stalwarts has decided to move on.

Details: According to UNPLAYABLE, 36-year-old Thamsanqa Mkhize has chosen to leave Cape Town City after eight years with the club. Over that span, he made 270 appearances, scored nine goals, delivered 15 assists, and won two titles with the team.

As previously reported, following the unexpected departure of Andris Uldriņš, Cape Town City struggled to find a replacement for the head coach position. However, the matter is now close to resolution, with the club currently in talks with Jan Vreman.

Reminder: The former Orlando Pirates and Cape Town City midfielder has obtained his UEFA A coaching license.
