Canadian Grand Prix: date, time and where to watch the Formula 1 race

This week, after a brief hiatus, the pinnacle of motorsport, Formula 1, resumes its thrilling journey. On Friday, June 7th, the Canadian Grand Prix will unfold its spectacle.

This stage was initially embraced within the verdant confines of Mosport Park in Bowmanville, Ontario, as a motoring extravaganza, subsequently traversing between Mosport and the hallowed tarmac of Circuit Mont-Tremblant in Quebec, until Formula 1 assumed stewardship of this event.

From 1971, mindful of safety considerations, the Grand Prix found its permanent residence in Mosport. In 1978, following analogous safety concerns at Mosport, the Canadian Grand Prix migrated to its present domicile, the Gilles Villeneuve Circuit, nestled on the island of Notre-Dame in Montreal, Quebec.

The two most decorated protagonists of the Canadian Grand Prix are Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton, each clinching victory seven times. The laurels of the last two contests were claimed by the Red Bull maestro, Max Verstappen.
