Team officials also arrived alongside the players to commence early training sessions.
Bassey and Iwobi strengthen the defence and midfield, while Chukwueze, Arokodare, Olusegun, and Ndidi add attacking and midfield depth. According to officials, the initial sessions will focus on tactical organization, physical conditioning, and building team chemistry ahead of Thursday’s semi-final clash against the Panthers of Gabon.
Training will take place at local facilities in Rabat, where the players are expected to undergo high-intensity drills and strategy-focused exercises. The full squad is scheduled to join camp in the coming days, after which Chelle will finalize his starting lineup for the match.
The team’s stay in Rabat marks the official kickoff of Nigeria’s campaign toward World Cup qualification. The camp will remain active until after the game, and may be extended depending on the team’s progress in the tournament.
Nigeria faces Gabon on Thursday, November 13, in what promises to be a tightly contested encounter. Fans are hopeful that the Super Eagles will secure a strong result to keep their qualification hopes alive and edge closer to booking a spot at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
