Cameroon's U20 women's team win a friendly match as part of their training camp

The U20 Lionesses are continuing their preparations for the final round of African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup in Poland.

After losing their first friendly match last week, Cameroon’s Under-20 women’s team have bounced back with a win. Coach Hassan Balla’s players comfortably defeated the U17 boys from the Abou Academy.

At the Ngoa-Ekele Military Stadium, they scored three goals to their opponents’ one. Elong Ngofanke, Ottou Elisabeth and Lena Nyangono each scored a goal during the match. An encouraging result for Hassan Balla and his team ahead of the fourth and final round of African qualifiers for the U20 Women’s World Cup scheduled to take place in Poland this year.

In this final round of qualifiers, Cameroon’s Under-20 women’s team will face Tanzania.
