Cameroonian Striker Vows to Lead Simba to Success
Simba SC striker Leonel Ateba has promised to step up his performances to help his team reclaim the Premier League title and make a deep run in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Ateba, who joined Simba from USM Alger, has been outstanding this season
- CAF Confederation Cup: 3 goals, 1 assist in 8 matches
- Tanzanian Premier League: 8 goals, 2 assists in 13 starts
He is currently joint second in the league’s Golden Boot race and hopes his form will earn him a recall to the Cameroonian national team ahead of AFCON 2025 in Morocco.
Ateba’s Ambitions
"I want to win at least one award and be in the top three goal scorers. I think we can do amazing things in the three tournaments we are competing in."
Ateba thinks Simba can take back the league's top rank and seriously seek for continental glory. His leadership skills, experience, and goal-scoring prowess will be essential to the team's pursuit of trophies.
