Cameroonian midfielder David Mimbang signs for FC Nordsjælland
The young Cameroonian has signed a five-season contract with the Danish club and has been loaned out to San Diego FC straight away.
David Mimbang has taken a significant step forward in his young career. The 18-year-old is leaving Cameroon for Denmark, where he has signed for FC Nordsjælland. The midfielder is under contract with the Danish club until 2031.
However, David Mimbang will not be playing for FC Nordsjælland this season. Immediately after signing, the Cameroonian was loaned to San Diego FC for the 2026–2027 season. It is with the MLS club that he will make his debut outside Cameroon.
For David Mimbang, his move to FC Nordsjælland represents an opportunity for his professional development.
“I’m very happy to have signed a long-term contract with FC Nordsjælland, as I’m sure this is the best place for me to develop. I know they’ve done the same with many young players before me, as it’s a place where young players are given a chance.
“So, for me, there’s no doubt that FC Nordsjælland offers me the best opportunities to succeed and build the career I’ve always dreamed of.”
