The Cameroon national team has made significant progress in the January 2026 FIFA rankings. The Indomitable Lions have gained 12 places and are now in 45th position in the world rankings. The Cameroonian team scored a total of 1482.39 points, compared to 1440.43 in the previous rankings in December 2025.
That said, Cameroon earned 41.96 points for the month of January. In Africa, the Indomitable Lions are in 7th place. This remarkable breakthrough is undoubtedly due to Cameroon's performance in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, where it lost in the quarter-finals to the host country, Morocco.
