Cameroon Cup: Panthere FC secure their place in the final

The Cameroonian club will contest their second consecutive final after winning the competition last year.

Panthere FC are through to the final of the 2026 Cameroon Cup. The competition’s defending champions qualified on Saturday 15 August following their 2–1 semi-final victory at Bamendzi Stadium.

Facing Unisport Bafang, a club from Cameroon’s Elite One professional league, Panthere FC dictated the pace of the game. The club took control of the match.

Joël Saha Bekim opened the scoring in the second half for the defending Cameroon Cup champions, making it 1–0. Panthere FC continued to stifle Unisport Bafang at the Bamendzi Stadium. In fine form, Joël Saha Bekim doubled the lead to make it 2–0.

His brace secured victory for his team. Unisport Bafang salvaged some pride by reducing the deficit to 2–1 through Willy Monkam just before the final whistle.

This is an important victory for Panthere FC, who will contest their second consecutive final following the one in 2025. The Cameroonian top-flight club, who will face a regional league side in the final, are well placed to retain their title.
