Cameroon captain Vincent Aboubakar and first-choice goalkeeper André Onana have been excluded from the Indomitable Lions squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.
The omission was confirmed after the Cameroon Football Federation released its final squad list for the tournament, set to begin on December 21. Alongside the announcement, the federation also named David Pagou as the new head coach, replacing Marc Brys ahead of the continental showpiece.
Cameroon will open their AFCON campaign on December 24 with a Group Stage encounter against Gabon, followed by a highly anticipated match against the defending champions, Ivory Coast, five days later.
