Calvin Bassey Backs Fulham Push for European Qualification Next Season

Fulham defender Calvin Bassey remains confident that the club can secure a place in European competition next season despite their current position in the Premier League standings.

Marco Silva’s side currently sit 11th on the table, but the race for Europe is still wide open. With just four points separating Fulham from seventh place, a position likely to guarantee qualification for the UEFA Europa Conference League, the Whites remain firmly in contention.

Speaking in an interview with beIN Sports, Bassey expressed belief in the team’s ability to finish strong this season. He pointed out that Fulham have come close in previous campaigns but are determined not to let the opportunity slip away this time.

“If you look at the last two or three seasons, we’ve been in and around it, and then the last four or five games it’s sort of got away from us, [but] we’re right there now,” Bassey told BeinSports.

“We’ve got eight games left, and I feel like we can really push and achieve it. We’re four points behind seventh, so it’s all very close, that’s why each game and point matters.
