CAF reveals the reason for the delay of CHAN2024

The African Football Confederation announced the postponement of the CHAN 2024 tournament, which was supposed to be held in February 2025 in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, and the tournament is expected to be held at its new date in August this year.

This decision comes after many consultations between members and experts of the African Football Confederation, who recommended that the tournament be postponed to its scheduled date due to the lack of readiness of stadiums in the three countries and the lack of readiness of logistical matters as well.

The president of the African Football Confederation also praised the efforts of the presidents of Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda for their efforts to try to equip stadiums and infrastructure as soon as possible.
