CAF Officially Completes Inspection Tour of Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania Ahead of AFCON 2027

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially completed an eight-day inspection visit across Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania as preparations continue for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda 2027.

According to CAF, the delegation included senior officials from its Competitions, Safety and Security, Transport, Marketing, Media, Television and Logistics departments. They worked alongside representatives of the host governments and Local Organising Committees (LOCs).

The statement further read that the CAF delegation inspected the newly constructed 60,000-capacity Talanta Stadium in Kenya, as well as training facilities, hotels for participating teams and match officials, airport facilities and other key locations that will form part of Nairobi’s tournament infrastructure.

The inspection team then travelled to Uganda and Tanzania to assess the readiness of stadiums, training grounds, hotels, airports and other supporting facilities.

Among the venues inspected were the Mandela National Stadium in Kampala and the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
