CAF increases annual funding for all member associations
CAF President Patrice Motsepe has announced a 33% increase in the annual funding paid to each of the 54 member associations.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) is strengthening its financial support for its member associations. Its president, Patrice Motsepe, has announced an annual increase in funding, which will rise to USD 700,000 for each of the 54 member associations.
This decision forms part of CAF’s commitment to ensuring that football in each of the 54 member countries is world-class and self-sustaining. There has been a marked increase since 2021.
In that year, member associations received annual grants of USD 200,000. The amount was subsequently doubled to USD 400,000, then raised to USD 525,000, before reaching its current level of USD 700,000.
