The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) has strongly condemned the incidents that disrupted the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League encounter between Al Ahly SC and ASFAR in Cairo on Sunday, 15 February 2026.
In an official statement issued after the fixture, CAF described the scenes that marred the high-profile clash as “unacceptable,” emphasizing that such behaviour has no place in African football.
“The Confederation of African Football (CAF) strongly condemns the unacceptable incidents that occurred during the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League match between Al Ahly (Egypt) and ASFAR (Morocco), played in Cairo on Sunday 15 February 2026,” the statement read.
