CAF Clears Ndala After AFCON Final Review
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has ended speculation over the officiating of the AFCON 2025 final between Senegal and Morocco. After a full investigation, CAF cleared Congolese referee Jean-Jacques Ndala of all allegations.
CAF reviewed match footage and official reports and concluded that “no fault or irregularity was found” in his decisions or conduct. The probe was launched to ensure transparency following the intense final.
In its statement, CAF praised Ndala’s work, confirming the “seriousness and high level of professionalism” shown throughout the tournament.
CAF added: “Jean-Jacques Ndala has consistently demonstrated why he is regarded as one of the finest officials on the continent…”
Ndala is now expected to remain among Africa’s top referees.
