CAF Champions League: What you need to know about the Al Hilal – MC Alger match

A decisive match will pit MC Alger against Al Hilal this Friday, November 21, 2025. MC Alger will begin their CAF Champions League group stage campaign at 2:00 PM (GMT+1).

The match has been relocated to Kigali, where the Sudanese side will once again be playing away from home. MCA wants to make a successful start and show that they are here to be contenders in this competition.

Al Hilal and MCA find themselves in the same group, with the first leg played on neutral ground, just like last season. After Nouakchott in 2024, the two teams will now face off at the Amahoro Stadium.

MC Alger wants to avoid last year's scenario: a poorly managed home match and a draw snatched away from home. This time, the Algerians want to make a strong statement right from the first matchday.

Probable MCA lineup:

Guendouz – Halaïmia, Abdellaoui, Ghezala, Bouguerra (Khelif) – Tabti, Benhaoua, A. Bangoura – Naidji, Ferhat, Bayazid (Kipré Jr).
