Teungueth FC of Senegal will face FC Canchungo of Guinea-Bissau on Saturday 5 September in the first leg of the first qualifying round of the 2026–2027 CAF Champions League. The match, scheduled for 4 pm GMT, will be played at the Stadio de 24 de Setembro.
In the run-up to this match, which will kick off both teams’ continental campaigns, the Senegalese delegation travelled to Guinea-Bissau a few days earlier. It is on Guinean soil that the Senegalese will fine-tune their preparations ahead of Saturday’s clash, which will mark the start of the race for qualification for the group stage.
The Senegalese Ligue 1 champions arrive in Guinea-Bissau aiming to get their 2026–2027 Champions League campaign off to a flying start. Their opponents, FC Canchungo from Guinea-Bissau, will be looking to capitalise on home advantage to get their continental campaign off to the best possible start.
