CAF Champions League: Saturday's results
The CAF Champions League continued on Saturday, November 29th. Two matches were on the schedule for the second matchday of the competition.
First, Pyramids FC confirmed their good form in Group A, while Espérance de Tunis managed to secure a valuable point in Group D.
The Egyptian side Pyramids FC continue to shine at the start of the competition. In their second Group A match, the club won 1-0 away against Power Dynamos in Zambia. The only goal of the match was scored in the 51st minute by Mohamed Reda, allowing the visitors to leave with all three points. This consecutive victory confirms the Egyptians' strength and provisionally places them at the top of Group A.
Meanwhile, in Group D, the match between Petro Luanda and Esperance ended in a 1-1 draw. After a lively but goalless first half (0-0), the Angolans opened the scoring early in the second half thanks to Tiago Reis (49th minute).
Espérance, true to their fighting spirit, responded in the dying moments. Aboubacar Diakité equalized in the 89th minute, allowing the Tunisians to secure a valuable point away from home.
Petro Luanda leads Group D with four points, while Esperance sits second with two points, pending the match between Stade Malien and Simba SC.
