CAF Champions League: ASEC Mimosas have arrived in Togo ahead of their match against ASCK
The Ivorian Ligue 1 champions landed in Lomé a few days before kick-off.
ASEC Mimosas will kick off their continental campaign away from home, in Togo. The Ivorian club will face ASCK on Sunday 6 September in the first leg of the first qualifying round of the 2026–2027 CAF Champions League.
However, three days before this match, scheduled for 3.30 pm GMT, the Mimos have settled in the Togolese capital. Having arrived on Thursday 3 September, the Ivorian side held their first training session on the pitch at the Swallows Academy. The Mimos will continue to fine-tune their strategy in Lomé in the run-up to 6 September.
This is a crucial match for both clubs in the race to qualify for the group stage of the CAF Champions League. ASCK, playing in front of their home crowd, will be looking to capitalise on this home advantage to get their continental campaign off to a good start. However, the visitors will also be keen to put themselves in a strong position ahead of the return leg in Abidjan.
