In this ranking of top scorers, Mahmoud Trézéguet of Al Ahly Cairo comes out on top. The Egyptian striker found the back of the net five times during the group stage. This makes him the most prolific player at the end of this stage.
He is followed by Abdelrazig Omer of Al Hilal SC and Ahmed Atef of Pyramids FC. Both players scored four goals each during this phase. Paul Basséne of RS Berkane and Aboubacar Diakite of ES Tunis bring up the rear with three goals each.
