CAF Awards ceremony date announced. When will Africa’s best player be named?


Since 1992, the CAF Awards have celebrated Africa’s top football talent, and the 2024 edition will once again recognize the continent’s finest player.
Details: According to CAF’s press release, the prestigious CAF Awards ceremony will take place on December 16, 2024, in Marrakech, Morocco. While the list of contenders for Africa’s Best Player has yet to be finalized, notable players such as Ademola Lookman, Serhou Guirassy, and Brahim Díaz are expected to be in the running for the accolade.
Reminder: The current African Player of the Year is Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen, and the award ceremony will be hosted in Morocco for the third consecutive time. In 2022, Senegal’s Sadio Mané claimed the honor. The inaugural award in 1992 went to the legendary Ghanaian, Abedi Pelé.
