The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has revealed the names of the three finalists for the African Goalkeeper of the Year award. Initially nominated, Edouard Mendy and Marco Diouf will not be taking home the prize.
Selected from an initial list of 10 goalkeepers, the two Senegalese internationals were ultimately eliminated by CAF.
The chosen finalists are Al-Hilal goalkeeper Yassine Bounou and his compatriot Munir Mohamedi of RS Berkane.
They will compete against South African Ronwen Williams, goalkeeper for Mamelodi Sundowns, who won the award in 2024.
