CAF appoints match officials for Kitara FC v Al Ahly SC Confederation Cup tie

South African Eugine Nkosinathi Mdluli will be the referee for this first leg of the second preliminary round of the 2026–2027 CAF Confederation Cup.

Kitara FC of Uganda will host Al Ahly of Egypt on 17 October at Hoima City Stadium. The match, which kicks off at 1 pm GMT, will be officiated by a South African referee. The Confederation of African Football has appointed Eugine Nkosinathi Mdluli as the referee. A CAF international referee since 2019, Eugine Nkosinathi Mdluli has been officiating in the top flight since 2015.

For the match between Kitara and Al Ahly SC, the South African referee will be assisted by two of his compatriots. Khamusi Razwimisani and Abi Kamohelo Ramutsindela will serve as first and second assistant referees respectively. Another South African, Sikhumbuzo Patrick Gasa, will be the fourth official.
