CAF Announces Star-Studded Guest List for 2024 CAF Awards Ceremony

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the special group of African soccer stars who will be attending the 2024 CAF Awards. This big event, where the best soccer players in Africa are celebrated, will happen on Monday, December 15, in Marrakech, Morocco. It will take place at the Palais des Congrès at 7:00 PM local time (6:00 PM GMT).
Invited Stars:
- Seydou Keita:
Former Mali midfielder and key player in FC Barcelona’s dominant 2008-2012 era, winning two UEFA Champions League titles.
- Mohamed Zidan:
Member of Egypt’s golden generation, winning back-to-back Africa Cup of Nations titles in 2008 and 2010, plus consecutive Bundesliga titles with Borussia Dortmund.
- Victor Wanyama:
Longtime Kenyan football icon who helped Kenya qualify for the 2019 TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations.
- Caster Semenya:
Double Olympic 800-meter champion, adding a touch of stardom from outside the football world.
- Joseph Antoine Bell:
Legendary Cameroon goalkeeper who represented the Indomitable Lions in three FIFA World Cups during his 17-year international career.
- Portia Modise:
